Tuna breaded with almonds Flour

Let's talk about this tuna-based dish.  Tuna is a really tasty fish that can be used in lots of foods: for this one we need Almonds flavour, but if we don't have it, we can chop almonds in a blender to obtain it.

Ingredients (Imperial & Metric) – Party of 4

  • 400g (14 oz)Fresh Tuna Fillets
  • 100g  (3,5 oz) Almond Flour
  • 45g. (3 Tablespoons)Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Method
  • First of  cut the tuna fillets into "sticks"  approx 2 inches wide, 2 inches thick and as long as the fillet is.
  • Grease these sticks with olive oil
  • Cover the fillets with the almonds flour (you can dive them in the flour)
  • Put 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a pan and heat it with low flame
  • When the oil will fry slightly, put the tuna sticks on the pan and cook them just 1-2 minutes each side (Tuna  should be still raw at the centre)
  • Once cooked, slice the sticks to obtain approximately cubic pieces
  • Serve them on a fresh salad (For example a peppers one)
Annotations: for health reasons I suggest you to freeze your tuna fillet for 5 days before cooking it like this recipe suggest you. This is because in this dish, the central part of our fillet must be raw and raw tuna may be dangerous if it's not properly blasted (with a blast chiller, just like restaurants should do!!) or frozen (with domestic machinery) for more days.
